Glava is the market leader in Norway in building insulation, roof and technical insulation. Glava has a turnover of NOK 1.3 billion and has over 400 employees. the company is known for being a innovative player in the B2B segment.
Professional buyers are also consumers and it is therefore a requirement that B2B-solutions maintain the same high standards that customers are used to from their B2C purchases. Glava was early on understanding this and realized that they had to make new investments and offer new services to customers in order to maintain their position as an innovative company. They therefore chose to develop an e-commerce targeting professional customers that previously purchased goods through Glava's sales office.
The solution is based on the Magento platform with customer login and integration toward the ERP-system IFS. Glava's customers now have the opportunity to order products directly on the web without having to call Glava's sales office or visit a physical store. Customers have custom profiles against their specific agreements and meet a customized interface. In the digital store, they get an overview of existing and previously made orders and can retrieve relevant product documentation. Combined with the sales office, the new e-commerce contributes to higher service for customers and a more efficiency for Glava while retaining its position as an innovative player in the B2B segment.
