About

Gresvig Retail Group AS owns the retail chains like G-Sport, G-Mac and Intersport and they are Norway’s leading operator in sport- and leisure equipment. They also have several fashion brands like Voice Norway AS, Boys of Europe, Match and VIC. Together they have 500 brick and mortar stores and a total turnover of NOK 7 billions.

Goal

Gresvig had an e-commerce solution that needed to be replaced and their IT-structure needed an upgrading to be able to integrate the e-commerce with the brick and mortar stores. It was not possible to execute with an omni channel strategy within the frames of the existing IT-structure and the architecture needed to be completely re-designed.

Solution

Ateles created a new e-commerce solution based on Magento with integrations to POS-, PIM- and imperative payment gateways and logistics suppliers. With this new architecture it is possible for Gresvig to execute their omni channel strategy and develop functions that integrate and create synergetic outcomes between the various sales channels. Ateles also created a powerful CMS based on Pimcore and now Gresvig can easily work with the content of the e-commerce. This new solution was delivered in record time. After only three months Gresvig had new possibilities to meet the market more efficiently and reach higher profitability. The online store has responsive web design and is adapted to various screen resolutions.
